We are here
For You
The ongoing wildfires have been beyond devastating and have touched the lives of nearly everyone here in Los Angeles – whether it is a personal loss or supporting friends and family who have suffered losses.
Of course, among those impacted in our community are Deaf and DeafBlind individuals who face unique challenges in accessing critical information and services during emergencies.
In fact, Mind Your Language was founded with the core mission of helping the Deaf and DeafBlind share their thoughts, ideas, and emotions with the world around them. If you or a loved one are a resident of one of the affected areas, we want to help!
To that end, we’re donating $10,000 worth of sign language interpreting hours for Angelenos affected by the wildfires. Whether it’s at a shelter, a hospital, or accessing essential services, our team of skilled interpreters will be there to provide support.
We are truly saddened by the devastation caused by the fires. Yet, out of the despair have come heartening stories of neighbor helping neighbor and heroism by first responder in the face of daunting odds.
We are here for you and we will get through this – together.
